Assoc. Professor Euan Thompson is an accredited specialist in Occupational Medicine and Primary Care and a WorkCover WA Approved Medical Specialist with a Masters in Occupational Medicine.

Since 2001 he has worked in a range of industries including mining, oil and gas, transport and logistics, maritime, commercial diving, healthcare, retail, hospitality, armed forces and local government.

Assoc. Prof. Thompson an AMROA-accredited Medical Review Officer for Drugs and Alcohol, a Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB) Authorised Health Professional, and a trainer and examiner in Occupational Medicine. Additionally, he is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Curtin University Medical School where he sits on the curriculum design committee, teaches on the Masters in Occupational Medicine program and lectures in Health and Safety.

He is a published author, regularly contributing to a UK-based Occupational Health journal, and authored a chapter on Health, Work, and Wellbeing for the Encyclopaedia of Life Support Systems (EOLSS; part of UNESCO).

Assoc. Prof. Thompson is an international speaker, having presented in London, Paris, Copenhagen and Kuala Lumpur. He sits on the Cancer Council Occupational and Environmental Cancers Committee and has sat on the steering committee for the Doctors Health Advisory Service (WA), and the state committee of the Royal Australiasian College of Physicians.

Finally, he contributes to the State’s Safe Handling of Medications Group, is on the editorial advisory panel of Australian Prescriber and is a member of the Australian Society for Performing Arts Healthcare.

Assoc. Prof. Thompson consults at OSHGroup’s West Perth rooms, and provides a visiting service in Bunbury and Kalgoorlie.
