Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Sam Young is an Australian and internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon practicing in the fields of orthopaedic reconstruction, joint replacement, and trauma surgery. He has a triple fellowship trained in lower limb joint replacement, revision surgery, and trauma.
Dr Sam Young completed his medical training at the University of Western Australia in 2004 and qualified as a specialist surgeon in 2015.
As a consultant in trauma and elective orthopaedic surgeon at Royal Perth Hospital he continues to work on the general trauma roster as well as directing the pelvic and acetabular fracture service. He has a private practice based in St John of God Subiaco where he performs joint replacement and reconstructive surgery of the hip, knee, and shoulder and performs over 1000 operations per year in these fields.
Dr Young is also a visiting medical officer providing services to Narrogin Health service in the Wheatbelt and also undertakes medicolegal work being a APIA with WorkCover WA and a Certified independent medical examiner with the American Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr Sam Young will be consulting from his Specialist rooms in Subiaco or at OSHGroup’s West Perth rooms.
