Dr Khouri graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2004 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Following graduation, Dr Khouri spent three years training at Royal Perth Hospital in various fields such as emergency medicine, orthopaedic surgery, cardiology, general medicine, neurology and intensive care.
She then spent 12 months at Princess Margaret Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital before commencing General Practice training in 2009. Dr Khouri obtained her Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2010, winning the Edward Gawthorn Award.
Dr Khouri has worked as a General Practitioner since 2009. During this time she spent five years working as an orthopaedic theatre assistant and three years working as a medical officer at the Sexual Assault Resource Centre where she was trained in forensic and legal medicine.
Whilst undergoing training as an Occupational Physician, Dr Khouri continues to work as a GP as well as a sessional lecturer to medical students at Curtin University. Dr Khouri is currently undertaking a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety at Curtin University.
Dr Khouri is also a Rail Industry Safety and Standards Board (RISSB) Authorised Health Practitioner (AHP).
