Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr Michael Perret is a trained orthopaedic and hand surgeon with experience in treating conditions of the hand and upper limb.
Dr Michael Perret completed his medical training at the University of Western Australia graduating with honours in 2007. After concluding his specialist surgical training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association program in 2017, Dr Perret was admitted as a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr Perret has since completed further sub-specialty training in hand and upper limb surgery. He gained experience treating shoulder and elbow conditions in professional athletes including AFL players during a fellowship at Melbourne Orthopaedic Group in Victoria. Subsequently, he completed the Hand and Upper Limb Fellowship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, gaining experience in all aspects of hand and wrist surgery, including microsurgery.
Dr Perret practices elective upper limb and general orthopaedic trauma surgery at Royal Perth Hospital and has an appointment at the Fremantle Hospital Hand Surgery Service. He is a member of the Royal Perth Hospital State Trauma Committee.
Dr Perret is also published in international journals including the American Journal of Sports Medicine and is a trainee supervisor for the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
Dr Michael Perret will be consulting from his Specialist rooms in Nedlands or at OSHGroup’s West Perth rooms.
