CURRENT INFORMATION

  • Global number of cases reported – 10.1 Million with 501,000 deaths.

  • Recovery rates remain high, with 5.1 M cases classed as recovered.

  • NEW - (29/6) Brazil and India case numbers are rapidly growing. New data from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has conducted modelling, predicting the trend in new cases. See the data below.

  • UPDATED - (29/6) Revised DoH National Guidelines (v3.3) published 22/6/2020 for COVID-19 (LINK).

  • NEW - (29/6) COVID-19 Infographic on disease deaths per day. Tuberculosis kills more people per day than COVID-19.

  • (22/6) COVID-19 testing requirements for international travel are complex. Permission may be needed to undertake COVID-19 PCR testing as part of visa requirements.

  • (22/6) Mental Health of Australians during April 2020. New data released from the Medical Journal of Australia showed that mental health problems were at least twice as prevalent as in non-pandemic circumstances (LINK). These results are consistent with another recent sample study from India. Their results showed 1/3 of respondents have expereienced a significant psychological impact from the COVID-19 pandemic (LINK).

  • (27/6) WA Government COVID Roadmap - Phase 4 commences. (LINK). Travel restrictions are unchanged.
